Our Story

We believe every volleyball athlete deserves access to evidence-based mental performance training — not just those who can afford a sports psychologist.

The Problem We Saw

Volleyball is 90% mental — coaches say it, athletes feel it, research confirms it. Yet most clubs have no systematic way to develop the psychological side of their athletes. Mental performance training has been reserved for elite professional programs with dedicated sports psychologists.

We watched talented young players struggle with confidence, anxiety, focus, and recovery — not because they lacked ability, but because they lacked tools. Club coaches wanted to help but didn't have the training, time, or resources.

VBallStars was built to change that.

Mustafa Lalli

Creator & Founder, VBallStars

Mustafa Lalli created VBallStars after witnessing firsthand the gap between physical training and mental performance development in competitive volleyball. Drawing on sport psychology research, data science, and a deep commitment to athlete well-being, he built a platform that makes evidence-based mental training accessible to every volleyball athlete — regardless of budget or access to a sports psychologist.

VBallStars reflects Mustafa's belief that mental skills are trainable, measurable, and essential — and that every athlete deserves the tools to develop them.

Our Approach

We built VBallStars on peer-reviewed sport psychology research — adapting validated instruments and training protocols specifically for volleyball athletes. Our three-step model is simple:

📊

1. Baseline

Assess where you are across key mental dimensions

🏋️

2. Train

Use evidence-based tools daily for 30 days

📈

3. Reassess

Measure growth, adjust, and repeat

What VBallStars Is — and Isn't

VBallStars is a mental performance training platform that uses evidence-based assessments and tools adapted from peer-reviewed sport psychology research. It helps volleyball athletes build skills like focus, confidence, emotional regulation, and resilience.

VBallStars is not therapy, clinical diagnosis, or a substitute for a licensed sports psychologist or mental health professional. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, please reach out to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or text HOME to 741741.
